The Dust Bee Gone Dust Mask

by Fred Holder

I've been testing one of the Dust Bee Gone Dust Masks invented by Paula Nicks (shown here with mask in place) for over a year now. Paula lives in Florida, but the Mask works just fine here in Washington State. The results have been excellent. The mask filters better than any  paper mask that I've ever used. Unlike them, it doesn't  fog my glasses when I breathe. The mask is made from an interlaced monofilament material and is fitted with two straps: a braided and elastic upper strap with buckle and an one-inch braided hook and loop lower strap. Paula says the masks are reusable for an indefinite period of time and very environmentally safe. When my mask gets dirty, I simply wash the dust out of it, dry it and re-use it. Last summer in warm weather, I wet the mask before putting it on and it acted like an air conditioner, cooling and filtering the air I was breathing. The masks sell for $30.00. You can contact Paula at (941) 694-3627 or by E-Mail at PajoInc@dustbeegone.com. Paula has recently added a web site for this product on the internet, her URL is:  http://www.dustbeegone.com .  You need some form of dust protection for most turning projects, this is the least expensive method I've found.
