They run three (2 days) woodturning courses every week. These courses are catagorized as "beginner", "intermediate", and "advanced". Beginners is the most popular. The interemdiate course is generally tailored to the individual's interests; i.e., if the student's interest is minitures, spindle turning, pens, etc., they will cater to your needs. The advanced courses are more hollow forms and other projects, these are less common as there is far less demand for them. Most classes are usually full, so they recommend that you schedule your training several months in advance. There are four places on each course. They also run at least one course a week on the shopsmith machine. For more information on these classes and Craft Supplies Ltd. check out their web site at: http://wwwcraft-supplies. c o.uk

EDITOR'S NOTE: Joe Dickey of Annapolis, Maryland advises that several of their group get together and teach woodturning at the basic and intermediate levels with an occasional advanced seminar and week-long courses. Their teaching facility is in the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, Maryland. The "standard" format is six students meeting weekly (Tuesday or Wednesday) for three hours (6:30-9:30 PM) for nine weeks. They run a series every semester. This year the demand has increased and they are planning on running two 9-week sessions this spring and will offer a summer session. Every student works on their own Woodfast Lathe. They are also starting an intermediate turning class this fall. It will be project oriented with up to five instructors each assigning and supervising a project. They also are starting a series for kids. They will have six Carbo-tec lathes. For more information on this unique training opportunity, contact Joe Dickey at E-mail: dickey@jhu.edu. Or look up his address and telephone number below.
